Born in 1946, I attended Philadelphia College of Art from 1964 to 1968, when I went to San Francisco. I began making wire baskets in 1970. I sold them on the sidewalk in San Francisco for a few years. Then I began making wire things for stores, decorators, florists, and galleries. I have worked with wire steadily since 1970. Here are pictures of some of the things I've made. My work is steel wire, galvanized, rusted or painted, some with found objects. I do not weld. All the joining is by bending. I have always enjoyed making things. |
